Welcome to the Den Blog

Den Team

Hey, welcome.

We are the team behind Den, and this is our corner of the internet where we get to think out loud.

Den started from a simple observation: couples have plenty of apps for individual things (streaming, photos, shared calendars) but nothing that feels like a home base for the relationship itself. A place to build rituals, share memories, and actually stay connected amid the noise of daily life.

So we built one.

What you will find here

This blog covers two things: the Den app and long distance relationships. For the app side, we write about what we are building and why each decision was made the way it was. For the relationship side, we write practical guides for couples navigating distance: communication, trust, staying close, and making visits count.

If you are here because you are in a long distance relationship, start with how to keep a long distance relationship strong. It covers the habits that make the biggest difference.

If you are here because you are curious about the app, What Is Den walks through every feature and the reasoning behind it.

A small thing we believe

The best relationships are built in small, consistent moments of showing up. A note, a shared laugh, a question asked before bed.

Den is our attempt to make those moments a little easier to create and a little harder to miss.

Thanks for being here early. We would love to hear what you think.

Common questions

Den is a couples app built around daily rituals, real-time games, and shared memories. Every day, both partners answer a question, send a selfie, and add a memory to keep a streak alive. It also has four live multiplayer games and home screen widgets. Built for couples who want connection to be a daily habit, not a special occasion. More on the features in our post on what Den does and why it was built this way.
Mostly for long distance couples looking for practical tips on connection, communication, and staying close. Some posts cover the Den app itself. If you are just starting long distance or figuring out how to make it work, our post on how to keep a long distance relationship strong is a good place to start.
Most long distance couples use Den as their daily touchpoint: a question both partners answer before comparing, a selfie that stays visible on the home screen, and games that run live between phones. The daily streak keeps the habit consistent. More on what that looks like in our post on virtual date ideas for long distance couples.
